Genyne Edwards, JD, is an experienced consultant and attorney who has worked in community development and
social enterprise for more than 15 years. She specializes in building partnerships and coalitions, managing and staffing projects, and conducting research. During the course of her career, Ms. Edwards has been instrumental in leading and developing successful public-private partnerships, which have convened community leaders, influential interest groups, public health advocates, government officials and policy makers.
While serving as Deputy Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, Ms. Edwards managed more than 40 employees and an annual budget of $12 million. She received her undergraduate degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University and her Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School. She is also certified in professional coaching and commercial real estate.
Ms. Edwards is the recipient of many awards, including being recognized as one of the Most Influential African Americans in the Tourism Industry by Black Meetings and Tourism. Recently, she was recognized for her leadership and service to the Marquette University Alumni Association.
